Julian Randall heads our commercial disputes practice and has
extensive experience of large commercial disputes in particular in
relation to financial services.
Recent instructions include actions to enforce bonds potentially
in various jurisdictions against a sovereign state, an action
against a major bank in relation to the illicit removal of assets
to New York, an action in relation to the rectification of complex
finance agreements and the successful defence, in the House of
Lords, of Moore Stephens in the $200 million claim brought against
it by the liquidator of Stone & Rolls.
Julian advises in relation to regulatory investigations,
boardroom and joint venture disputes, banking and insolvency issues
and commercial disputes generally. He practised with BLG in Hong
Kong between 1990 and 1994 and represented Coopers & Lybrand in
the action brought against them after the collapse of the Barings
Group.
