He is recognised for his expertise in representing accountants, financial institutions and D&O Insurers.  He currently acts for Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen; and for the captive Insurers of two of the Big 4 Accountancy Firms.

 

Stuart has advised on many high-profile cases, including BCCI, Maxwell, MFI, Wallace Smith, Butte, Carrian v Price Waterhouse in Hong Kong, and Bermuda Fire & Marine v C&L in Bermuda; and is presently retained in relation to claims arising out of the activities of Bernard Madoff.
